Simply put, The Anteheroes is a webcomic about many things. Built upon an ensemble cast, it follows would-be gods, covert military operatives, wizards, shamans, and crimelords. Action, comedy, drama and philosophy are all central elements of the story, and we avoid leaning too heavily on one particular element. Variety is both the spice and the rule of life; The Anteheroes is not comprised of a single storyline, but a reality based on a world much like our own. To emphasize that, we run not one, but two comics.
The first comic, the chaplain and the god is a tale nine years in the making, a saga that follows philosophy, one-liners, beatdowns and explosions. The more serious of our two current offerings, it is our feature presentation. We're upping the ante - a new page goes up every day from Monday through Thursday. The second comic, Versus!, is actually a series of loosely related stories. Featuring distinctly stylized artwork, it emphasizes the action in the universe. But each story remains canonical, and some may tie back in to the main story. That updates every Friday. So tune in and get ready for a wild ride... we hope you have as much fun reading both of them as we do while making 'em.

AstralFire, also known as Christopher Rollins. Astral is the primary writer and creator of the Anteheroes concept, and has been working on it in some way, shape or form since late 2001. In addition to writing, Astral does post-production effects, shading, and lettering for pages - and he handles the site's coding and design, too! A graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and the College of William and Mary, Astral currently resides in Northern Virginia. Domochevsky, also known as ???. Hails from Northern Germany. Has no former experience with webcomic creation but may or may not harbor terrific potential. Time will tell how he fares. He is an enigma, an assassin, a master of a thousand languages - none of which you will hear uttered from his lips as he kills you, silently. Formerly the main artist of the site, he does the work on the Versus! series now. |

The Magnificent Mr. K is the new artist of the chaplain and the god and hails from Singapore. A daredevil, a lady's man, dashing and debonair, Mr. K spends his free time jumping the Grand Canyon in a motorcycle while qualifying for the Mile High Club. Rumors say that he only works this job as a cover for his real mission - to conquer Earth. Will he succeed? Will he fail? Find out on the next episode of... |

The Swampwitch, also known as Ina van der Vegt, is the lead developer of SwampWitch Games. She hails from Europe, the Netherlands to be precise, and is politically active besides her activities as freelance software developer and computer engineering student. The Swampwitch is developing an Anteheroes action-RPG for the PC - we'll keep you posted. |
